Real Women. Real Stories. Why They Said Yes.

"When Brittany announced the Institute, it was an immediate full-body yes. Looking back now, it feels like every part of my story was leading me here, from studying psychology, to almost becoming a therapist, to supporting mothers in nonprofit work, to exploring coaching certifications that never quite felt right. I know how life-changing this work is because I’ve lived it. And now I get to bring that same depth into my own work and help other women build businesses and lives rooted in who they truly are, not who they’ve been conditioned to become.”

Why I said Yes to the Institute:

“I first started working with Brittany because I knew something had to change, in my business, but honestly in my life too. I had dreamed of leaving my salaried job and going all in on my business for years, but nothing had helped me actually take the leap. I tried therapy, the books, the podcasts, all the advice… and none of it reached the deeper thing keeping me stuck.

What drew me to Brittany was the way she moved through the world. There was a groundedness, a magnetism, an ease about her that I couldn’t explain, but I knew I wanted whatever she had found.

What I didn’t realize was that this work would change everything. What started as a last attempt to finally leave my job turned into a complete transformation across every area of my life — motherhood, marriage, business, and how I saw myself. For the first time in my life, I felt settled. Grounded. Free. I quit my job within four weeks, my income has since tripled, and I stopped living from survival mode and started building a life that actually felt aligned with who I was created to be.

But honestly, the biggest shift wasn’t financial. It was the ease. The peace. The feeling that life, business, money, and motherhood no longer had to feel so heavy."

"Saying yes to the practitioner certification was equal parts terrifying and inevitable. Deep down in my core I knew it was a "just do it", even though I am the woman who needs the research, the data, the logical case before she commits to anything. And the logical case for certifying in something that works at the subconscious level is not a straightforward one to make or explain to others!!!

But I said yes because I watched this work change me in places I had been trying to change consciously for years.

The women I work with are high-achieving, deeply capable women who have lost themselves in a chronic illness, motherhood and/or careers. They have tried thinking their way through it, pushing their way though and they are still stuck and need access to tools that they don't even know exist to them.

I can't wait to have the tools to take my clients from "I am my diagnosis" or "I am only valuable when I am holding everyone else together" to "I control the narrative in my body and I'm ok".

I rebuilt myself and I know they can do the same."

Why I said Yes to the Institute:

I came into this work because I was curious and quite honestly, a bit skeptical. I am a researcher by trade, an over analyzer, and I can consciously think of 10,000 reasons something should or shouldn't be done. Ironically, my body had already made the decision for me when it overrode every single, "this won't work for you and I still said, yes."

I have spent years performing at the highest level, leading in boardrooms and holding everyone else together and I was so good at it that it made me sick. I took a step back and realized I needed to shift something in my life and made a career change. As a new entrepreneur, I was in uncharted territory and knew I needed help. This is where Brittany fell into my lap.

We started working together doing individual sessions. At first it was a quiet shift, (like a loosening) that allowed me to see there is a vision that was very clouded. It slowly became louder and more clear the more work we've done together. I can look back at moments of tension over the past years with a different lens. One with appreciation, gratitude and grace where before I saw them as moments of hardship or frustration.

From a business perspective, I am no longer building it from fear (fear of not being enough, fear of not being credentialed enough, fear that my experience isn't worth charging for.) I'm leaning in towards making realistic, yet aligned decisions. I have even gone so far as to re-evaluate portions of my business that don't serve me and dissolved them with the confidence that it is the right decision. This has surprised me as this new lens sees with clarity, not failure. It's a lens I didn't know I could access.

I am still in the middle of my own "unlocking". But I know who I am now in a way I couldn't have told you a year ago and my body knows it too.

"When I learned that Natalie and Brittany were building a certification program, I immediately knew I was going to be one of their first students. Every time I’ve checked in with myself since then, it’s still a yes. I don't have a precise plan for what I’ll do with it. I have a pattern I've learned to trust. When I learn something new, like Human Design or Reiki, they find their way into the work I do in their own time, in ways I couldn't have engineered. These tools will do the same. I know that whatever I do with this work will be powerful, because I’m living proof.”

Why I said Yes to the Institute:

"For most of my adult life, I earned money in big waves and lost it just as dramatically. The 2008 crash, a divorce, a business that didn't work. I thought the pattern was circumstance. What I didn't see was that I was carrying an inherited belief that money comes to those who deserved it. When I did a breakthrough day with Natalie, we found the part of me that said being thrifty would protect me and another part of me that rebelled against it. We brought them together, and since that day I have stopped white-knuckling money and started trusting it to be where I need or want it to be.

I walked into my second breakthrough day thinking I was going to work on my health, but my sacral knew what I needed was fun. I’ve shifted my response to opportunities for play now. Free Sarah is the version of me who says yes to the thing her brain calls impractical or silly when her sacral says yes. The changes didn't just show up in my bank account. They showed up in how I walk into a room, how I spend an afternoon, how I'm investing in this certification program without having the money yet, and knowing, from everything I've lived, that it will be there."

Why I said Yes to the Institute:

“There was so much I didn't understand about how my subconscious was driving my life, why certain patterns repeated, how beliefs I had forgotten were telling me stories of what was or wasn't possible.

Why did I say yes? The somatic coaching, EFT, time techniques, and so much more that I have experienced has created more possibilities, more capacity, more positive reframes, and more confidence in living into my purpose, my power and the impact I'm meant to have in the world.

It's a full body "YES" for me and I believe in it so much that I want the women I work with to experience the same freedom and joy and transformation."

Why I said Yes to the Institute:

“I’ve experienced firsthand the transformation that can happen when you finally get to the root of the subconscious beliefs and identity patterns shaping your life.

Not just strategy. Not surface-level mindset work. Real internal change.

Over the last few months, even my clients have noticed the difference in me, asking, “How can I experience that too?” That question stayed with me. Because while I love marketing and business strategy, I’ve realized how often the real breakthrough lives deeper: In the beliefs we carry. The patterns we repeat. The stories we subconsciously live from.

So… I said yes to joining the Unlock Institute to become certified in subconscious reprogramming and identity-level transformation work. Not only for my own growth and healing but so I can help others experience deeper clarity, confidence, alignment, and freedom too.

And honestly? That feels like the real gift.”

Why I said Yes to the Institute:

“I decided to join The Unlock Institute because I have seen and felt firsthand the impact this work has on the whole self. The work aligns with everything I believe in - getting deep and to the root, growing from a place of alignment and authenticity, and broadening wisdom of life and self. And the biggest belief that drove me to want to get certified in it - helping people and making an impact.

My intuition called me in to say not only do I need this practice, but I need to help spread it. To interweave it into my work so that my clients can build and grow from a place of confidence and alignment. So that my couples can better connect with each other and bring their visions to life inspired by their energy and soul’s desires, not their Instagram feeds.

In a world designed to numb our feelings and subconscious mind, I want to transform people’s lives in the best way, leading them to feel happy, fulfilled, and enlightened. This is how I do it. Walking along their journeys, seeing them for their full, beautiful self, and helping them create the life of their dreams from the inside out.”

Why I said Yes to the Institute:

I’ve spent most of my career helping other people grow by coaching leaders, developing teams, and guiding businesses forward. From the outside, it looked successful, but somewhere along the way, I lost connection with myself. I saw the pressure people were carrying and the disconnect in how leadership often treated humanity as secondary to performance, and eventually I realized I couldn’t continue living in misalignment with myself.

Leaving corporate led me to Brittany and this deeper work, where I began to understand how disconnected I had become and how much the nervous system, the body, and the human side of leadership truly matter.

That’s why I said yes to the Unlock Institute. Not just for my own growth, but because this is what I want to bring into Tessara Consulting and into the lives of the leaders, founders, and business owners I support every day. I want to help create workplaces where people can feel grounded, supported, and fully human while they grow and lead.

Why I said Yes to the Institute:

I said yes to the Unlock Institute of Embodied Coaching because I’ve seen firsthand how subconscious reprogramming can change a woman’s life.

Over the last two years, I’ve witnessed the ripple effect of this work, not just in my own life, but in the lives, businesses, relationships, leadership, and self-trust of so many women around me.

As we continue to build Female Founders Twin Cities and deepen our commitment to supporting the whole woman behind the business, becoming certified in this work felt like the natural next step. It allows us to expand the impact we’re already creating for women entrepreneurs in Minnesota while continuing to hold our community and spaces with the level of depth, integrity, and care they deserve.

Choosing to become certified through a board-accredited institute was also really important to me. The work we do inside FFTC is meaningful, transformational, and deeply personal, and I believe it deserves to be held with the highest level of responsibility. This certification allows us to continue honoring the trust our founders place in us while strengthening the way we facilitate identity work, strategy, and embodied business development.

I know this next step will only expand the way we support women in business; helping them not only grow strategically, but also lead from a place of alignment, capacity, confidence, and self-trust.

I truly believe this is where entrepreneurship changes: when we stop separating the woman from the business, and start building spaces where identity, strategy, and embodiment are allowed to grow together. This certification will help me uphold this belief in the most aligned way.

Why I said Yes to the Institute:

I said yes because it was finally time to say yes to me!

Like so many women, I have been conditioned to put everyone else's needs above mine, to look for the answers externally, to do what others think and want me to do. For the last several years, I have been on a journey to reclaim myself. I have done the deep work to learn what I want out of my life and I have learned to listen to my own inner wisdom. This work has led me to find other women who are doing the work and reclaiming themselves too!

I am ready to take this work to the next level and help others on the journey to finding their way back to who they were meant to be.

Why I said Yes to the Institute:

I said yes because I've hit a ceiling in my own work, and I've known it for a while.

I've spent the majority of my career training, coaching, and supporting people who support children, teens, and young adults with disabilities. I've given strategy, frameworks, compliance knowledge, and accountability structures - all conscious-level tools. And I've watched it work! But I've also watched it not stick.

I've sat across from paraprofessionals, teachers, and administrators, given them every tool they need, and something stops them. Not a fear for lack of information, knowledge or skill, but for lack of something deeper - getting it wrong.

The fear of doing it wrong that's easier to ignore than face it.

I can give someone every tool or resource or professional development they need and still not touch that gap.

This program is literally built for addressing that gap.

I also said yes because ElevatEd is a mission, not just a business. And if I'm serious about identity-level change in how educators see and serve kids with disabilities, not just compliance, not just professional development that fades by March, then I need tools that actually work at that level.

And honestly, I said yes because this is who I am. I don't learn things halfway I credential them, I embody them, and then I use them to serve others. This fits.

Even though this program wasn't built for educators or administrators in public education, the bridge between what I'll learn and how it lands in public education is what I'm excited to build and offer to schools.
